FIRST ANNUAL BENEFIT SPORTING CLAYS TOURNAMENT

Saturday May 17, 2008
The Shooting Range – Hwy. 90 West – Washburn, Missouri
FORMAT: 4-person teams –100 targets each person. Individuals may sign up and will be placed to form teams of 4. These ‘formed’ teams will not shoot together, but their combined scores will allow them to compete for team prizes. Team prizes will be awarded on a Lewis Class System (3 divisions – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each). This method gives shooters of all skill levels an opportunity to win. Individual prizes (1st through 5th) will be awarded based on raw scores. Shoot-offs on station 4 of the skeet field will break any ties at the end of the event – you must be present at this time or forfeit. Shooters need to bring their own gun (no larger than 12 ga.), shells (no heavy loads and no shot sizes larger than #7.5), pouch or vest to carry shells, and eye and ear protection (required on the field). There will be no alcoholic beverages furnished or allowed on site.
ENTRY FEE: $100.00 per shooter includes targets, coffee, donuts, lunch, prizes, and a Skeet and Trap demo.
STATION SPONSORS: Sponsorships for the ten shooting stations are available for a fee of $100.00 each. Any Company or individual sponsoring a station will be allowed (not required) to have a tent/booth no larger than 10’x10’ at the station. Booths should be staffed to distribute product info, samples, snacks, etc. A sign indicating the sponsorship will be placed at the station.
DIRECTIONS: Download map depicting 3 popular routes for all of Northwest Arkansas.
Think Green: Carpool if at all possible – this will also help with the parking.
REGISTRATION: All shooters must check in at the registration table between 8:00am and 8:30am. Following check-in there will be a brief safety and etiquette discussion. There will be a ‘shotgun start’ with 2 teams and 2 individuals (half of a formed team) shooting together on each of the 10 stations. Lunch will be served immediately upon completion of the course. Any shoot-offs necessary to break ties will begin after lunch. Prizes will then be distributed, raffles drawn (must be present), and have our Skeet and Trap demo.
OTHER ACTIVITIES: There will be raffles for the following: Remington 12 gauge O/U shotgun, Remington 20 gauge O/U shotgun, Ruger 10-22 semi-auto .22cal rifle, & assorted framed wildlife art. Bring your $5’s, $10’s, and $20’s for these great raffle items. Tickets will only be sold at the event and will be limited in quantity. Following the Skeet and Trap demo, those fields will remain open for anyone wanting to shoot. The Range will charge a fee of $4.00/round (25 targets) for this. You must pay in advance in the club house and pick up a score sheet. The Range has shells for sale for this or you can bring your own.
